Zvuloon Dub System, Israel's leading World-Reggae band, emerges from a multicultural middle-eastern music scene, singing in English and Amharic.

Zvuloon Dub System is an 8 piece band with some of the cream of Israeli underground musicians.
Adopting their name from one of the twelve tribes of Israel, the band was formed in 2006 by the Smilan brothers.
They shared the same passion for roots reggae and dub, with influences from a variety of music styles, like Ethiopian jazz and rare grooves from the 70’s, USA's soul, funk and jazz, alongside with Israeli mizrahi (oriental) music.
Similarly to the major producers of reggae, like Lee Perry and King Tubby, the band is also keen on creating not just their own music but their own sound. All their tracks are produced, recorded and mixed in the band's studio, representing a unique blend of a rich cultural heritage, which can be heard in the debut album, "Freedom Time”.
The message of the band is peace, love, solidarity and equal rights to all, which, coming from such a controversial country, is spot on!
In early 2013 the band released "Weed Out" new 12" single feat. new songs from international reggae stars Cornell Campbell and Ranking Joe.
This year ZDS has unveiled their Ethio-Reggae project. Featuring a fusion of Reggae and Ethiopian music from the golden age of the 70's in addition to their regular original roots Reggae set.
The band backed some of the top reggae singers visiting Israel such as the lead singer of "Israel Vibration", Apple Gabriel and UK DJ Brother Culture.
The band opened the stage for some international reggae singers such as Don Carlos, Barrington Levy, Alpha Blondy and Groundation. In 2011 the band toured in Canada and Cyprus and played all around Israel including in the biggest local festivals.
Lead singer, Gili Yalo, who was born in Ethiopia, walked through the desert at the age 4 on an exhausting journey with his family to the promised land - Israel.
Going through dramatic and extreme situations, he sang all the way to his beloved.
Growing up in a tough neighborhood in Ramla, he is now a role model, to the challenged youth, of all origins.
In June 2014, the band released the new album "Anbessa Dub" while the new EP "Cornel Campbell meets Zvuloon Dub System" is out today!

In December 2011, Nicko Rebel Music makes their debut with the first riddim compilation from Nicko Rebel. Titled "She's My Heart," this riddim is the definition of contemporary one drop, with a melodic bassline made to takeover radio and dancehalls worldwide.

Ital Noiz Dub System releases new music video "Wake up and reclaim!"
Ital Noiz Dub System is an Italian Dub project based in Rome, formed in 2009 by Giulio Ferrante, bass player and vocalist and Angelo Morrone, keyboard player, sound engineer and reggae
producer .
Their music and the source of inspiration are Reggae, Dub, Drum‘n‘Bass and Jungle.
In 2009, Ital Noiz released their first demo cd, while the single named “Ital Noiz" was published in 2010 on the Deep Root label.
In June 2013, they release a new music video taken from their debut album "Everyday Jungle". The song "Wake up and reclaim!" has been recorded in Rome and mixed in Germany by Neil Perch (Zion Train's founder member).
This Summer, Ital Noiz will play and will hit the road in many European festivals. Their music will give the opportunity to many talent artists to perform live with them.

Biography:
Jamaican-born reggae artist and dub poet Yasus Afari’s signature poetic event,
Poetry in Motion, celebrated its 10th anniversary in February 2013, as the annual
rendition of Jamaica’s rich poetic heritage that showcases leading poets and
entertainers.
In August 2011, he established the Jamaica Poetry Festival in
Kingston. Afari’s first anthology EyePen continues to be exceptionally well
received, and his poetry album Kiss Mi Neck has created waves, as he continues
to delight audiences at home and abroad.
Deeply rooted in his Rastafarian faith, Afari is not only a dub poet, but also an
author, philosopher and reggae artist of unprecedented insight and inspiration.
Afari attended the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Melbourne, Australia,
as an Ambassador of the Council for the Parliament of the World’s Religions to
make a presentation on “Rastafari: The Livity of Spirituality,” and to also
perform for delegates and local people.
Afari is one of the original Christian Souljahs who engineered the cultural
renaissance in reggae and dancehall music and the dancehall culture, alongside
other Rastafarian artists such as Garnet Silk, Tony Rebel, Everton Blenda, Uton
Green, Luciano, Buju Banton, Sizzla, Capleton and Louie Cultur, among others.
In the mid-90's, Yasus teamed up with reggae legend Pablo Moses and Dele
Mandeyah to form Fathers Of Africa, which toured the schools in Jamaica, and
also did a tour of the United States, led by Afari, Everton Blenda, Determine
and Dele Mandehyah.
The 1990s and beyond saw Yasus Afari touring the world, as well as recording
with the likes of Black Uhuru, Toots and The Maytals, Freddie McGregor and
Beres Hammond, thereby enhancing his international profile and expanding his
horizons and creating a “revolution through dub poetry.”
Afari also released the
Afromantic poem “Woman I Love You,” the inspirational “Work,” and the
visionary “Brand New World,” which appeared on the Grammy-nominated
Black Uhuru album, Strongg. Albums released by Afari include Dance Hall
Baptism, Mental Assassin, Honour: Crown Him, Gift of Vision - Yasus Afari
and Friends, and Revolution Chapter 1.
Afari has received numerous awards and unprecedented accolades throughout
his career. He has produced music for himself and other artists, has promoted
several ground-breaking and successful stage shows, and has written his
internationally-acclaimed book, Overstanding Rastafari - Jamaica’s Gift to the
World.
More recently, Afari has been travelling the world to share his world views
through his poetry, working in schools, colleges, community groups,
universities and prisons, exploring ways to share a better ‘overstanding’ of
black history, while supporting ways for communities to live and work together
in our increasingly plural societies.

Biography:
David Madden has been around for many years in the Jamaican music business - composing, arranging, singing, and playing the trumpet. Look on the CD's and LP's of these Jamaican stars... Bob Marley & the Wailers, Ernie Ranglin, Freddie McGregor, Jimmy Cliff, Burning Spears, Bob Andy, Peter Tosh, Beres Hammond, Ziggy Marley, Dawn Penn's 'No, No, No', Dennis Brown, Sean Paul... just to name a few... and his name appears.
David began playing the trumpet at Alpha Boys School. By age 17, he went to Jamaica Military Band, then on to the Jamaican entertainment pop scene. His hobbies include dancing, playing checkers, soccer, and working on his goal to establish a music school.
His trumpet and musical skill has truly helped to create some of the most memorable ska, rocksteady, reggae and dance hall music in Jamaica's history.
David teamed with saxophonist Cedric "Im" Brooks as the duo Im and David to record for the legendary producer Sir Coxon Dodd at the famous Studio One. Two significant compositions "Money Maker" and "Candy Eye" became smash hits landing at number one and number ten respectively on the Jamaican charts.
David then went on to become a co-founder of the progressive-reggae group, Zap Pow for which he penned another chart-topper "Mystic Mood" that catapulted the group into stardom. Other hits were to follow such as "Tonight We Love", "Scandal Corner", "This is Reggae Music", and "Sweet Loving Love".
While with Zap Pow, David Madden, as a studio musician, is featured on at least 19 of Bob Marley's hit songs, and was a floor member of the Wailers in 1982-83 when Zap Pow disbanded.
"David Madden is one of Jamaica's most celebrated hornsmen and, as a trumpeter, there are few in his class. A best of... album from such a virtuoso, therefore, requires no platitude", journalist Andrew Clunis once wrote.
In a period of our music when hornsmen seems to be disappearing from the pop charts, David Madden, who in 1979 was made an honorary citizen of the City of Atlanta, GA, while touring with Bob Marley & the Wailers. Resuming his solo career with his debut album, "Going Bananas", David released his first single as a solo performer, titled "Chained", on his own Large, Medium and Small Music (LMS) label.
"Chained" was co-produced by the Wailers' keyboardist, Tyrone Downie. Since 1983 David has recorded several albums such as "Reggae Trumpetaa", "Changing Times", and "Dance Haawn".
With four albums to his credit, David then released his first CD, "Cyber-Charged Ska", which he took to Midem, France to introduce his cyber-ska to the audiences. He then went on to record the compilation set "Horny Reggae Horn: The Best of David Madden".
On this retrospective set, can be found David's work from the early 1980s. "Lonely People", the beautifully arranged "She She Mugae", "Mystic Mood", and the romantic "Love Light" are among the album's stand outs. Other CDs released are "Cybernetix Online" and "Long Live Reggae Music".
