The return of the reggae band 'Muiravale Freetown', with the new album "The Mission"

The Muiravale Freetown group is back with a new lineup and a new album titled "The Mission".

The band, founded in 2009 in Terracina (Italy), has had some lineup changes over time, arriving at having three members today, including Shak Manaly, the Dubmaster Likkle Fyah, founder of the band, and King Mama Senegalese percussionist.

After many works including the first self-titled album with Paolo Baldini released in 2013 and the latest tracks in collaboration with Mad Professor, the band has decided to start self-producing.

The Mission is available in all digital music stores, It's a twelve-track album that developed around the figure of Alfredo Fiorini who died in Muiravale on August 24, 1992 and who years before had, in some way, inspired the band itself.

In 1992 Alfredo Fiorini, a missionary doctor from Terracina, was killed by a burst of machine gun fire in Muiravale, Mozambique.

Years later, in 2009, to honor his memory and spread his message of altruism, tolerance and brotherhood, a group of boys with the song "Hermano Alfredo" appeared to the public for the first time, giving birth to Muiravale Freetown.

Muiravale Freetown explain that: "Every man in his life has a mission". From this phrase the new album was born, entitled "#themission".

With the new album, we retraced the mission that life has called us to conduct in these last three years, trying to tell everything that came into contact with us, our lives, emotions, sensations and trying to transcribe it into words and music.

During the path of life a being comes into contact with energies, bodies, stories told, traditions, landscapes, food and all that each one can do is listen.

In this last period, we have therefore enclosed in the album some songs that together trace the path of our mission.”

The album "The Mission" offers different reggae sounds and ranges from dub to dancehall with a strong modern imprint belonging to new reggae.

The Mission was recorded at SpitFiyahLab Studio, while the mix and master were done at Ariwa studios in Brixton. The first video clip from this album is "Yuh Donnuo Mi"

In this new album there are various collaborations with various artists such as: KAZAM DAVIS, KING Kamptha from Jamaica and the singer Chiara Stroia.
