Biography:
“Shymane”; born Samantha Shymane Bent on June 6th 1992. Shymane has been singing since the age of 2 and has been doing African dance and drumming since the age of 5. From this tender age of 2 years old, she has been singing with such sweet melodies with a caressing and smooth voice.
In 1999, she entered Janet’s local talent show in Florida for the under 12 singing category and won 2nd place singing her favorite artist’s song; the King of Reggae music, the honorable Robert “Nesta” Marley’s “Redemption Song” which is still today her favorite song.
Shymane sings unconsciously and constantly all the time. She attended Dillard High School for Performing Arts and was also a majorette for their marching band. She performed not only at Dillard High school, but at many school events and other performances in Florida with Roots and Culture African Dance Group, Holistic Arts Dance Theatre, Venus Rising, just to name a few. She does backup vocals for many South Florida Artist such as; Endel Major, Michael Brim, Lee Milo, Pinnacle, and Mystic Soul.
She graduated from Dillard High School in 2010 and attended Broward College where she received her Associates Degree and presently is attending Florida International University (FIU) majoring in Criminal Justice to become an Entertainment Attorney. She also has upcoming plans in 2017 to begin a fashion brand and boutique and Caribbean Cuisine franchise.
Shymane is a very vibrant and aspiring female vocalist that has now released her third single called “Peaceful Jamaica” along with the video that’s being played on the Media networks in Jamaica on BOJ Street Links and Youtube. Her second single called “Forever In Love” and her first debut single of a classic song “I Who Have Nothing” her smooth silky voice has definitely made an imprint on these singles.
