"I Remember" single by Tikaros!
MacLes Music Factory & New Sound Records releases the new single "I Remember" of Jamaican artist Tikaros. Basil Anthony Ottey a.k.a Tikaros was born in Hanover (Jamaica) and is a singer/songwriter and DJ and recognised as a spiritual and versatile artist who resides currently in Kyoto, Japan. From an early Tikaros knew he wanted to make music, and that desire became a very important part of his life.
Though opportunities to break into the music industry were few, he never gave up on his desire to let the world hear his voice, This struggle made him even more focused and determined to reach his goal, this also gave him time to perfect his style and sound, which is a mixture of Reggae, Roots, Dancehall and also fusing those genres with R&B and HipHop.
Tikaros first real recordings "My Angel" and "My Kinda Style" were done on a R&B type beat in 2001 after migrating to Japan, these songs gave him some exposure but not as much as he was hoping.
Still working on getting his voice heard Tikaros started to team up with producers around the world and pretty soon was recording on riddims for up and coming producers. He appeared on riddims such as the "Uptownny Riddim" from Stickleproductions, the "Street Cleaner Riddim" and the big "Puff Puff Riddim" in 2013, both produced by the MacLes Music Factory/New Sound Records team. This same team is also producing his EP "One Love To The World" which will be out the first quarter of 2015. Tikaros is currently doing shows with his band the Earth Rockaz Band across Japan and is expecting big things for 2015 and beyond.
