DADDY FREDDY - BIOGRAPHY:
Frederick Nelson AKA "Daddy Freddy" is a Ragga Vocalist, was born and raised in Trenchtown Kingston, Jamaica in 1965. In 1973-74 from the tender age of 8 years old, he started to develop his talent for performing lyrics at house parties and dances on local reggae sound systems. He got his 1st big break around 1983-84 when he won the prestigious "Tastees Talent Contest".
He recorded his first single ("Zoo Party") in 1985.
In 1986, with the help of Sugar Minott, D. Freddy became a member of the Sound System: "Youthman Promotion".
In the same year, he released his first album "Body Lasher".
In 1987, D. Freddy moved to London and released the album "Ragamuffin Hip-Hop" with (Asher D). The international success came in 1991 with the album "Stress".
By the end of the 90s Freddy was exhausted. His hectic life-style had taken it out of him so he found time to return to Jamaica and re-discover his roots.
In 2000, he returned to London and with the Dub producer "The Rootsman" released "Old School New School".
In 2011, Daddy Freddy is back with a new work: "Resurrection", produced by the Italian label "SouLove Records". [Source: Wikipedia.en]

PURA VIDA - BIOGRAPHY:
"Pura Vida" is one of the biggest new reggae revelations from Belgium. Originally "Pura Vida" started as a small subproject of "Bregt de Boever" who is also a respected producer and composer. their music is strictly reggae and dub with influence 70's with many shades of blues, soul and dance music.
The subproject "Pura Vida" gave birth in 2006 when a couple of friends started jamming at the "Lost Ark Studio" of Bregt de Boever.
In 2007, Pura Vida started creating their unique refreshing sound through their "Sound System".
After winning at the "Reggae Contest" of Rototom Sunsplash in 2008, the big breakthrough: "Pura Vida" became a band.
Under the lead of "Bregt de Boever", in 2008 "Pura Vida" released the first single "Destiny" with Price Allah.
Their first album was "Struggle In The City" released in March 2010.
In 2011, they released the sophomore album "We Nah Give Up" with the Jamaicans "The Congos".
In October 2012, they released the album "Hard Road" with Congo Ashanti Roy while "Step By Step" in June 2014.
In November 2015, Lee Scratch Perry & Pura Vida launches the album "The Super Ape Strikes Again".
